I recently gave a speech for Small Giants, an organization with a mission to identify, connect, and develop purpose-driven business leaders, and someone asked me how millennials fare with our performance measurement system. Our ROIs (responsibilities, objectives and indicators) track individual achievement and performance continuously throughout the year. There seems to be a bias against millennials, where people would think they would be averse to this kind of performance measurement.
I have found, however, that it is exactly this kind of close measurement that allows everyone to thrive. Millennials are very purpose driven—they want to know that what they are doing matters. Our scorecards show the impact they are having on Service Express’ success.
