Here we are—the day after Christmas. I hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed some time off. If you’re still taking additional time off, I hope you’re making the most of it. Whether you’re relaxing or already back in the office, here’s something I’ve always found helpful this time of year: start reflecting on the past year and preparing for goal setting in 2025.
Take some time to look back on 2024. What did you set out to accomplish? What did you achieve? What goals didn’t you accomplish, and why? Are those goals still important for 2025, or is it time to let them go? What lessons did you learn from this past year, and how will you apply them moving forward?
This week is often quieter for many organizations, which makes it a great time to reflect. Whether you’re working or still on a break, use this opportunity to think about your goals. I’ve noticed that stepping away from the office often helps me think more creatively and lets my mind wander in a productive way.
So, here’s what I encourage you to do: start reflecting and jot down some ideas for your 2025 goals. Next week, we’ll talk about how to finalize those goals so you can hit the ground running in the new year.
Enjoy your time off if you’re still on a break or finish the year strong if that’s your goal. We’ve got five more days in 2024—make them count. Looking forward to a great 2025 together!
