Signing Off: My Last Weekly Blog

by | Dec 18, 2025 | Leadership

Welcome to my final blog. After all these years of sharing weekly posts with you, I’ve made the decision to wrap it up. I won’t be posting every week anymore.

That doesn’t mean I’m going away for good. When I have something to say, I may still pop on here and share it with you. But after a long run, I think it’s time.

In fact, I looked back today and saw that my very first video blog was posted on December 4, 2011. That means we’ve been doing these for 14 years. Over that time, we’ve shared more than 400 video blogs. We have over 2,000 people signed up to receive them each week, not to mention the many others who saw them on LinkedIn and other social platforms.

So first, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for listening, watching, reading and being part of this journey. It’s been a really cool experience.

From the beginning, my goal was simple: to share real experiences. Not theory. Not what I think is right or wrong. I wasn’t trying to tell anyone what to do. I just wanted to share what I’ve learned from doing—what worked, what didn’t and what I learned from both. Hopefully, it helped you avoid a few mistakes along the way.

Over the years, I’ve heard from so many of you. Not just here in Grand Rapids or West Michigan, but across the country and even around the world. That means a lot to me. It’s been fun, and it’s been meaningful.

So thank you again for following along, for sharing your thoughts and comments, and for being a part of this every week. I’m really grateful.

As we head into the holiday season and wrap up 2025, I wish you all the best and nothing but success. I’ll still be out there on LinkedIn, watching, learning and R&D-ing (ripping off and duplicating) the best practices I can find.

And again, when I have something worth sharing, I’ll be back. But for now, it’s time to end the weekly posts.

Thank you, I appreciate all of you. Go get ’em.
